Give to a Fund or a Cause

The CDC Foundation is proud to host many named funds and endowed funds established by donors dedicated to fulfilling their vision for a healthier world. Both named funds and endowed funds can provide support for a special named prize, award, lecture or funding for current and future special needs or for programs that support the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health partners.

While a named fund functions until the provided gift is expended, an endowed fund is a lifetime investment in public health where the corpus is not spent and investment income is used to provide for operations or programs consistent with the wishes of the donor in perpetuity. Both named funds and endowed funds are restricted to their donor-selected purpose.

Many people choose to create these unique funds as a meaningful way to honor or memorialize someone special or because they have a specific vision that can only be brought to fruition by partnering with the CDC Foundation.

If you are interested in more information on creating your own named fund or endowed fund, please contact Helene Erenberg, Director of Major Gifts and Individual Support at: herenberg@cdcfoundation.org.
