A case investigator is a public health professional responsible for receiving reports of persons suspected or confirmed as having COVID-19, locating them and interviewing them to gather information necessary for public health case investigation and contact tracing. Interviews will involve gathering information about symptoms, exposures and identifying others with whom the case has been in contact while potentially infectious.

Different Ways to Work with the CDC Foundation

CDC Foundation staff members manage and raise funds to support hundreds of programs, facilitate partnerships and lead the day-to-day operations of the organization—we recruit staff who are experts in program management, fundraising, population health, communications, finance, technology and more. We also manage field employees who work with CDC to help implement programs, work in labs or conduct research.
