#ShowSomeLoveCFC: Your support of CDC’s work can have a lasting impact

Make a gift to a cause that is closest to your heart. If you work at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or another federal agency, you can participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Your gift through the CFC can support the CDC Foundation and further the lifesaving work of CDC. As the only authorized charitable giving drive for employees in the federal workplace, the CFC offers access to a critical source of funding for the causes that you care about. Launched by President Kennedy in 1961, the CFC is one of the largest charitable annual workplace giving programs in the world.

Employees of CDC, as well as other federal workers, can support the CDC Foundation through payroll deduction or a one-time donation. This year’s “Show Some Love” campaign encourages federal employees to give to their favorite charitable cause during the CFC giving season through January 15, 2019.

The Combined Federal Campaign is the charitable giving campaign for federal employees and retirees all over America. Giving is easy and secure—and you can donate through the online giving portal or with a paper pledge form. Payroll deduction makes it easy to make small regular contributions that quickly add up to a significant impact. You can choose one of several ways to pledge: payroll deduction, credit or debit card or ACH transfer from a bank account. By selecting CFC Charity number 10141, you can support the CDC Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization who is the sole entity authorized by Congress to support CDC’s critical public health protection mission.

Together, we can do so much more than any of us can do alone. Your support will help us advance hundreds of innovative, high-impact CDC-led programs throughout the world that give people the opportunity for safer, healthier lives. Every donation through the CFC helps, and we are grateful to all of you who are helping to advance CDC’s lifesaving work to protect us all.

Please donate today through the CFC, and share online using the hashtag #ShowSomeLoveCFC. If you have questions about giving to the CDC Foundation, please contact us at (404) 653-0790 or advancement@cdcfoundation.org
