Veterans and military populations have a higher risk for suicide, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Community-based veteran-serving organizations (VSOs) help build connections and creating an upstream approach to suicide prevention for veterans and military families.
Over the past six years, the CDC Foundation has supported a variety of projects related to veteran suicide prevention. One of these efforts, the Veteran Suicide Prevention Evaluation (VSPE) project, supports VSOs in using evaluation to build evidence on the effectiveness of veteran suicide programs. The CDC Foundation is pleased to announce that we will be hosting our hybrid annual meeting on June 6-7, 2024, to promote the evaluation work of our grantees and support a community of practice among VSOs conducting program evaluation.
Each of the current VSPE grantees will present their evaluation project overview and findings. Presentations from CDC and CDC Foundation as well as former VSPE grantees will also be included. Please see the agenda for more information.

- Great Lakes Dryhootch
- Operation Stand Down Tennessee
- Veterans Recovery Resources
