Measles Vaccination for Ethiopia’s Children
Measles outbreaks are occurring in every region of the world, and young children are especially vulnerable. Ethiopia currently has the third-highest number of cases, with an estimated 1.13 million children who are not fully protected by measles vaccines. With your support, we’ve been partnering with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support the Ethiopian Ministry of Health’s measles vaccination efforts in Oromia, the most populated region of the country.
Tackling Public Health Challenges for People with Disabilities
One in four adults in the U.S. is facing a disability. Many of these folks encountered obstacles to healthcare access during the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to face challenges today. In response, the CDC Foundation partnered with local groups—collectively known as Centers for Independent Living—to develop a groundbreaking publication that offers best practices and tips for creating strong partnerships that will better serve the needs of people with disabilities.
