Messages of Thanks to Our Nation’s Public Health Heroes

On Public Health Thank You Day, individuals and organizations around the country recognized the tremendous work of our nation’s public health professionals.

As part of our ongoing work to honor these heroes, we collected messages of thanks on our Public Health Heroes website. Here are just a few of the comments we received.

“I am elated to say that I am very grateful and tremendously thankful for all the men and women who have sacrificed their time, efforts and dedication to assist in the fight against COVID-19 all around the world. YOU ALL ROCK!” - Terrence Henry-McCoy from Houston, Texas

“Thank you so much to all of our public health professionals, both experienced and new, that have worked diligently during the pandemic to ensure the safety of so many lives! Your work is so vital and should be celebrated, not only just today but for the future as well! Wishing you all the best and continued successes.” – Megan from Florida

“We can't thank you enough for making public health your passion, your purpose and your priority. Our communities and our world are better because of the caring commitment of professionals like you. Continued blessings for your service to mankind.” - Twanda Mickle from Atlanta, GA

“We couldn't have gotten through so far without the wonderful health care workers we've interacted safely with during almost two years. From skin cancer, to hand surgery, to wound care...every one of the Healthcare staff kept us safe from covid while providing great care. We thank you. Thanks too for the Covid vaccinations. We are not invincible but are more protected. With Aloha” – Judy from Honolulu, HI
