Dr. Judy Monroe is honored with United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Women of Excellence Award

Today, our President and CEO, Dr. Judy Monroe, received the United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Women of Excellence Award for her unwavering commitment to serving the community. The award was presented during the Women’s Leadership Breakfast virtual event that brings together leading women from the nonprofit, corporate, philanthropic and government sectors.

Judy is in especially good company as past recipients of the Women of Excellence award includes Bea Perez, Teri Plummer McClure, Carol Tome’, and most recently, Sally Yates. In past award ceremonies speakers have attracted thought leaders and keynote speakers including President Jimmy Carter, Mira Sorvino, Geena Davis, Randi Zuckerberg, Abby Wambach and Glennon Doyle.

This year Robin Roberts, co-anchor of Good Morning America, was the keynote speaker, and she talked about her own personal journey to success. The virtual conversation during the yearly Women’s Leadership Breakfast centered around COVID-19 and racial injustice. Even as a virtual event, the audience topped 1,200 attendees.

Congratulations to Judy for this well-deserved recognition and her unwavering commitment to public health and her community.
