Honoring our CDC Public Health Heroes

Do you have a hero in your life? Perhaps your personal hero is your mom, dad, spouse, child, friend or co-worker. At the CDC Foundation, our heroes at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are often overlooked but have a major impact on protecting our health and safety.

The CDC Foundation is proud to support CDC’s responses to crisis situations through our Emergency Response Fund. We are grateful that CDC helps save lives by responding to emergencies, providing expertise, developing vaccines and detecting disease outbreaks wherever they arise.

CDC includes over 12,000 people working in all 50 states and in more than 120 countries. The agency’s workforce includes physicians, epidemiologists, communication specialists, lab scientists, accountants, lawyers, administration professionals and countless other disciplines.

Meet some of our CDC public health heroes who every day protect the health, safety and security of America and the world.
