Eight Years, Four Stars: The CDC Foundation Charity Navigator Rating

For the eighth consecutive year, the CDC Foundation has earned a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. Four stars is the highest rating awarded by Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest and most-utilized evaluator of charities.

I am proud to see the CDC Foundation receive this prestigious recognition for the eighth year in a row. Only one percent of charities has achieved eight consecutive 4-star ratings. This rating reflects CDC Foundation's dedication to accelerating and expanding the work of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and its critical impact.

According to Charity Navigator, this 4-star rating indicates that CDC Foundation has exceeded industry standards and outperforms most charities in its cause. We take this very seriously, as CDC Foundation is the sole entity authorized by congress to raise private sector funds for CDC programs and priorities.

We are grateful to our dedicated staff, partners and donors who work side by side to carry out the mission of the CDC Foundation and CDC’s important public health work. The commitment of these groups is what ultimately advances the CDC Foundation as we aid CDC’s global work to save and improve lives.
