We are an independent nonprofit organization created by Congress to extend the lifesaving work of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the public health system. Strengthen the Public Health System to Protect Us All
A strong and trusted CDC working with health departments and partners is essential to protect people and communities. We will support CDC and jurisdictions by helping build the public health workforce, support data modernization and improve the system to address new and existing health threats.
Address the Climate and Health Challenge
Work with partners to mitigate the health effects of climate change—build capacity for communities, develop a national climate workforce, build climate change public health leadership, communicate the climate and health impacts and transform the healthcare system for climate and health.
Integrate Health Equity Principles into All Our Work
Support a trusted, diverse and inclusive public health sector; build capacity of community-based organizations; and integrate the public and private sectors to protect the health and foster the wellbeing of communities.
Promote and Protect the Public’s Health Through Communication
