2023 Summer Support Campaign Ends May 31

Help Protect and Save Lives

Support the 2023 Summer Support Campaign

Numerous research projects and initiatives are underway to help protect and save lives. But because the CDC Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization, we must rely on the generosity of caring people like you to keep them moving forward. Especially during the summer months, our most challenging fundraising time of the year.

Please give today to the 2023 Summer Support Campaign. Your generous gift will help meet our goal of 100 donations. More importantly, you’ll help protect and save the lives of our friends, loved ones, communities and global neighbors.

Your Support Makes a Life-Changing Impact

Falls Free CheckUp

Online risk screening will help save lives!

In partnership with NORC at the University of Chicago and the National Council on Aging, we recently launched the Falls Free CheckUp. This online risk screening tool is designed to help prevent falls among older adults, and to help them better understand their risk for a fall.

Included in the Falls Free CheckUp:

  • A downloadable report of the results.
  • A scheduling assistant so users can make an appointment with a doctor or other healthcare provider to discuss their results.
  • Important educational resources on fall prevention.
  • A video on how best to utilize the information from the Falls Free CheckUp.

Bringing Health Care to Medically Underserved Communities

Through your support, and in collaboration with the University of Washington (UW) School of Nursing, we’re helping integrate nursing students’ clinical placements for the very first time in communities underserved by adult, primary and mental health care services.

“This funding from the CDC Foundation has made it possible for the UW School of Nursing and Compass Housing Alliance to break down barriers to quality health care for our community members transitioning out of homelessness.”

— Dr. Anita Souza, clinical associate professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing
