Community-Based Organizations Join the Hear Her® Campaign to Share Maternal Health Messaging
Several local community organizations across the country have joined the national effort to raise awareness about the urgent maternal warning signs for pregnancy-related complications and improve communication between health care providers and their patients.
The CDC Foundation has supported the Hear Her campaign since its launch in 2020. In 2024, The Foundation began to expand its reach of the campaign to more local areas by funding six community-based organizations (CBOs) to share campaign messages and materials.
Each CBO plans a tailored approach to educate on the urgent maternal warning signs, to integrate the Hear Her resources into their existing maternal health programming and deliver these critical messages to communities disproportionally impacted by maternal mortality.
The Hear Her campaign works by encouraging partners, family, friends and healthcare professionals to really listen and ensure women who are pregnant or postpartum get the care they need.

- Ayan Maternity Health Care Support, Seattle, WA
