Amy Robbins Joins CDC Foundation Board of Directors

ATLANTA – Amy Robbins, founder of The Nduna Foundation, has been elected to serve a five-year term on the board of directors of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Foundation.

Amy Robbins is the founder of The Nduna Foundation, which provides leadership and targeted interventions in the most critical humanitarian situations. The Nduna Foundation focuses particularly on improving nutrition and food security; supporting those who work diligently to treat and eliminate pediatric HIV/AIDS in developing countries; supporting innovative education programs; and providing easily-accessible resources in the early stages of humanitarian crises. Robbins recently received UNICEF's Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award for her support and transformative leadership in countries such as Niger, Ethiopia, Sudan (including Darfur) and Somalia. Prior to creating The Nduna Foundation, she was a co-founder and chief operating officer of Glenview Capital Management, a New York-based, multi-strategy hedge fund.

"We are pleased to have Amy serving on our Board," says Phil Jacobs, board chair of the CDC Foundation. "Her talent in the business and not-for-profit communities will be an invaluable asset for the Foundation and CDC."
