“Legacy is committed to building partnerships with organizations to ensure tobacco prevention is top-of-mind.” - Lyndon Haviland |
Since its creation, the CDC Foundation has worked closely with foundations to build programs that address specific health threats. Among these foundation-supported initiatives is a program to improve health care and water safety in war-torn Afghanistan and programs to train disease detectives in developing nations like India and Kenya. Foundations may also help advance the mission of the CDC Foundation and improve public health by providing unrestricted support.
