CDC talks Contagion in D.C.

On September 13, 2011, the CDC Foundation hosted an exclusive behind-the-scenes conversation with experts from CDC about the science behind the blockbuster movie, Contagion. The discussion took place at Union Station in Washington D.C., and Senator Johnny Isakson (GA) served as honorary host.

Watch the panel discussion:

CDC expert panelists included CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden; Dr. Ali Khan, Director of CDC's Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response; and Dr. Anne Schuchat, Director of CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (Kate Winslet's character in Contagion is modeled on Dr. Schuchat's role).
